Rabbi Dovid Roberts

Rabbi Dovid Roberts is the Rabbi of Kahal Adass Jisroel in Berlin, Germany Born in Sunderland, UK, Rabbi Roberts was raised and educated in Gateshead, attending local schools and yeshivas before advancing his studies at the Brisk Yeshiva in Israel.

He lived in Gibraltar from 1988 until 2000, completing his Rabbinical Ordination, and founding the Gibraltar Boys High School, as well as being youth director for the Gibraltar Jewish Community. His early rabbinical career included serving as the Rav of Kehillas Netzach Yisroel in Edgware, London, from 2001 to 2019. During this period, he also held the position of Principal at Menorah Foundation Primary School and was a Rebbe in the Hasmonean ‚Beis‘ (sixth form boys) programme in London.

From 2006 to 2011, Rabbi Roberts served as a Rabbinical Consultant for the Jewish Association for Business Ethics (JABE), where he provided ethical guidance and Jewish legal perspectives on business practices, helping to bridge traditional Jewish values with contemporary commercial challenges. He lectured in leading City Law firms, and moderated Panel discussions in Banks and elite colleges, writing occasional columns in The Jewish Chroniclel, Daily Mail and other media outlets.

He was also the Rabbinical DIrector of Hatzola Edgware, a Jewish voluntary Ambulance service, as well as serving as the Director of Education for the Federation of Synagogues (UK).

Rabbi Roberts is a respected lecturer and educator, known for his insightful teachings on Jewish philosophy, prayer, and history. He has delivered numerous lectures on platforms like Torah Anytime, covering topics such as „Derech Hashem“, „Emunah“ and „Divine Providence.“

In addition to his teaching and leadership roles, Rabbi Roberts engages with broader audiences through interviews and online content. He has been featured on podcasts like „The Schrift“, where he discusses the nuances of Torah translation and the importance of integrating secular knowledge into religious study.

Rabbi Roberts is also an active member of the Standing Committee of the Conference of European Rabbis (CER), contributing to the broader European Jewish community.
